FLY

BACKSTORY

DETAILS

The Hobbs Family loves to travel, especially Chanel. Since her diagnosis traveling hasn't slowed down, but it looks different. Due to her equipment and lack of mobility she is unable to fly on a commercial plane and must always travel by car. Our founder's father and Chanel's husband, Lamont, has had a picture of a private jet on his bathroom counter since 2017. With the goal of acquiring a jet so Chanel can fly across the world again, seeing that picture everyday is motivation to him. This inspired our founder to create the You Can Fly initiative.

Our goal is to acquire a private jet and make it completely handicap accessible. Giving Chanel and other people with disabilities the ability to travel the world.

GOAL

The You Can Fly initiative is to allow people with disabilities the ability to travel the world. With a priority for people with ALS, this initiative is for all people who have a condition that prohibits them from flying on a commercial plane. We hope to fly at least 12 families a year to a completely handicap accessible destination free of charge.

A wait list and application will be released one year before the initiative launch date allowing those with disabilities to share their story and apply to take flight!

Note: This is our biggest initiative and will take time. Our goal is to take flight by 2030.
