Blankets for Beauties and Beaus
Our founder began hand knitting blankets in 2020 as a hobby during the pandemic. Angel originally made them during her spare time just for fun. Sharing her craft with family and friends, she then began making them as gifts and nice gestures. Seeing the joy on people's faces when receiving these blankets inspired her to create You Can Knit, Blankets for Beauties and Beaus.
WHY
Why is this important?
Blankets are a necessity for people with ALS as the disease affects the ability to control the body temperature. They're also useful for those with other disabilities, children and adults in hospitals, the elderly, and the unsheltered.
WHAT
What is this initiative?
You Can Knit, Blankets for Beauties and Beaus is an initiative that brings people together to help the community. People will come together to make blankets for a good cause.
HOW
How will we make this happen?
We will host monthly private blanket making events guiding attendees on how to make a blanket with love; sending all of the blankets to those in need.
